Dr Ghaffari obtained his Medical degree from the University of Milan (Italy). He went on to complete his Psychiatric and Psychoanalytic training in London (UK).
He has had extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of Psychiatric and Psychological Disorders. He was Head of the Department of Psychotherapy in the National health Service and Head of Psychological Therapies at the Cardinal Clinic in the private sector.
Besides Clinical responsabilities he was responsible for the training and supervision of Psychiatrists and Medical Students.
He was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. He was a Tutor and an examiner for the College and a training Psychotherapist.
He also trained at the Institute of Psychoanalysis and is a Fellow of the British Psychoanalytic Society. To complete his therapeutic repertoire he also undertook a postgraduate degree in Cognitive-Behavioural Psychotherapy.
